What is a Pre purchase Timber pest inspection report?  A Pre purchase timber pest inspection is an inspection and report of the building and property for timber pests and other related conducive conditions.  The report will tell you about termites, borers, rot and fungal decay.  The report also identifies drainage problems, water leaks and conducive conditions that may attract or increase the risk of timber pests attacking the home or property.  It will also advise you on options available to rectify these situations.

What is a Pre prchase property inspection report?  A Pre purchase property inspection is one of the different types of building inspections you can have performed before buying a property.  Sometimes referred to as a ‘Standard Property Report’, a Pre-Purchase Property Inspection Report is a written account of the condition of a property.  It will tell you about any significant building defects or problems such as rising damp, movement in the walls (cracking), safety hazards or a faulty roof to name a few.

Ask the selling agent to insert a building and pest inspection clause into your contract.  This is very common and most agents will recommend that you do so.
